MONDAY: Our Love Week volunteer projects are taking place today thru Saturday. Spend time praying for those who will volunteer, success with each project, and the lives that will be impacted through the project. Go to watersedgechurch.net to register to be involved in an opportunity. Read Matthew 5:13-16. How are you being the salt and the light in this world this week?

TUESDAY: Read Acts 4:1-4. What was the source that made the movement move? What were people on the team doing to play their part? Thank God that you are a part of a movement that moves and a team that requires you to play your part.

WEDNESDAY: Read Acts 4:5-12. What does Peter teach about Jesus in these verses? Take note of how Peter describes Jesus.

THURSDAY: Read Acts 4:13-20. Focus on verse 20 and work on memorizing it. Thank God that you are a part of something that is unstoppable.

FRIDAY: Read God’s plan when they were placed into a city that was not their own in Jeremiah 29:4-7. How can you seek the welfare for our city? Begin now to pray how you will play a part in building our campus 3 to reach our city.

SATURDAY: Choose a verse or a question from this week that really challenged you. Re-read it multiple times, emphasizing a different word each time. Think about why this verse or question is so challenging. What application do you need to take away?

MONDAY: Read the following verses about your communication. Consider how you talk to others, especially those closest to you.
- Proverbs 18:21
- Ephesians 4:29
- James 1:19
Write down one main idea from each of these verses that can help you communicate more effectively in your relationship.

TUESDAY: Why does money cause such tension in your relationship? Are you trusting God with your finances? Is He involved in them? Are you communicating clear expectations regarding money in your relationship? Read Ecclesiastes 5:10. Ask God to help you be wise with your money. If you don’t have a spending plan, set aside time to set clear expectations about your money. Finally, read Proverbs 3:9-10.

WEDNESDAY: Why do you think the Bible has so much to say about the bedroom? The book of Song Of Solomon in the Bible is about the wisdom of a man named Solomon and his relationship with the Shulamite maiden. At one point, Solomon asks her to come to him and consider this paraphrase and follow-up as described by Ed Young in his book Sexperiment: “She replied, ‘then you must protect me from the foxes, foxes on the prowl. Foxes who would like nothing better than to get into our flowering garden.’ She’s saying that couples have to keep stuff from getting in the way of their special love relationship. It’s the responsibility of the husband and the wife to keep the little foxes, the clutter, away so there will be time, opportunity, and desire for making love.” If you’re married, determine to prioritize the bedroom this week. If you’re single, determine to wait and honor God and your future mate.

THURSDAY: How important of a role does your relationship with God have in your relationship with others? Read Matthew 6:33. Are you putting God first? Read Amos 3:3. Are you going in the same direction? Think about ways to create shared spiritual experiences. Attend church together and discuss what you experienced. Share a verse from this study with each other. Pray before a meal or bed.

FRIDAY: What are you doing to fight for your relationship? One of the best things you can do to avoid being lazy is to pray for your significant other. Today, spend time in prayer thanking God for your relationship. Pray for areas of growth. Pray for specific challenges.

SATURDAY: Choose a verse or a question from this week that really challenged you. Re-read it multiple times, emphasizing a different word each time. Think about why this verse or question is so challenging. What application do you need to take away?

TUESDAY: Read and work on memorizing Philippians 2:3-4. Perhaps write these verses on a notecard and carry them with you throughout the day. Read them aloud and repeat them. Think about how different your relationships would be if you actually did what these verses command.

WEDNESDAY: Read Proverbs 31:10-12. If you are a woman, aspire to be a woman like described in these verses. If you are a married man, thank God for your wife and look for ways to build her up. If you are a single man, pray that God would lead you to a wife like the one described here.

THURSDAY: Read Colossians 3:19 and Ephesians 5:25, 28. Notice the commands to husbands. If you are a man, you must follow the example of Christ. If you’re a married woman, pray and thank God for your husband. If you’re a single woman, pray that God would lead you to a husband who loves you like described here.

FRIDAY: Christ is the example of self-sacrificing, others-first love. Read Philippians 2:5-11. What will you do today to have the attitude and mindset of Jesus Christ?

SATURDAY: Choose a verse or a question from this week that really challenged you. Re-read it multiple times, emphasizing a different word each time. Think about why this verse or question is so challenging. What application do you need to take away?

MONDAY: Read Matthew 16:18. The amazing thing is that we get to be a part of the church. Jesus started it, but we get to live it out. Take some time today to pray for Waters Edge. Pray for the leadership, our third campus, and Easter services which are coming up in April.

TUESDAY: Read Acts 2:44-47. Everybody needs a group! Who do you live life with? Take some time to pray for those that are in your group. If you aren’t in a group, pray for the Waters Edge staff as they put together the groups from the House Party.

WEDNESDAY: Read 1 Corinthians 12:12. What part do you play in the body? Do you believe that you would be missed if you didn’t show up to Waters Edge? If the answer is no, then you are not playing your part in the body. Somebody needs what you bring to the table. Somebody needs you to change the way that they think about church.

THURSDAY: Read Luke 19:10. Who do know that does not have a relationship with Jesus? Spend some time praying that you would have an opportunity to invite them to Waters Edge.

FRIDAY: Read Acts 1:8. When you become a Christ Follower, God’s Spirit comes to live inside of you. You have the power to live an upgraded life. Remember, it starts in the mind, extends to the heart, and finishes at the feet. What area of your life do you still need to upgrade?

SATURDAY: Spend some time thanking God for Waters Edge. Thank Him for the growth in attendance, and for what He’s doing here. Spend a few minutes re-reading a verse that stuck out to you from this past week.

TUESDAY: Read James 1:22-25. Think about the analogy James uses of the mirror. When you think about an upgrade in your life, but do not take any steps of action to make the upgrade a reality, this analogy describes you. Ask God to give you the courage and discipline to take action steps toward your upgrade.

WEDNESDAY: Read Matthew 25:14-30. What distinguished the good servants from the evil one in the story? Consider this question: are you doing all you can today to fulfill God’s purposes and plans in your life tomorrow?

THURSDAY: David had the upgrade in his feet! Consider the result of David’s upgrade as shared in I Chronicles 17:7-8. Thank God that He has plans for your life that are greater than you could ever imagine.

FRIDAY: Read Samuel’s story in I Samuel 3:1-10. Pray this prayer:
Oh give me Samuel’s ear,
An open ear, O Lord,
Alive and quick to hear each whisper of thy word;
like him to answer to thy call and to obey thee first of all.

MONDAY: An upgrade extends to your heart. Read Proverbs 4:23. Think about the importance your heart and your emotions play in your life. Ask God to help you think about some ways that you can watch over/guard your heart. Make a list of some ideas here.

TUESDAY: Read about the anointing of David to be King for Israel in I Samuel 16:6-13. What are some things that stand out to you about David from these verses? Think about how God chose David to be King while he was still a shepherd. God saw David’s greatness when He was still a boy. God sees our potential before it ever comes about. You can trust that no matter where you are today, God sees a better tomorrow for you and has a plan for your life.

WEDNESDAY: David was a mighty man. Read of a few of his acts of valor:
- David kills Goliath: I Samuel 17:31-51
- David kills 200 Philistines: I Samuel 18:20-27
- David flees from Saul: I Samuel 19:8-10
What was it about this man’s heart that allowed him to have such courage?

THURSDAY: Read I Samuel 30:1-6. Imagine the intense pain and pressure that David felt while waiting for his upgrade. What does verse 6 tell us that David did? How do you encourage yourself in the Lord?

FRIDAY: With David’s life as a backdrop, considering his delay to become the King…read Psalm 23. If you’re hurting, waiting, disappointed, anxious, or afraid, allow this Psalm to comfort your heart. Your upgrade is on the way!

SATURDAY: Choose a verse or a question from this week that really challenged you. Re-read it multiple times, emphasizing a different word each time. Think about why this verse or question is so challenging. What application do you need to take away?

TUESDAY: Read Isaiah 43:19. Imagine what new things God might want to do in your life in this new year. Write them down and possibly share your ideas with someone. Dream big. Don’t let your experiences limit your thoughts. Remember, God can do anything!

WEDNESDAY: The blessing found in Deuteronomy 28:1-14 gives a beautiful picture of God’s desire and plan for our lives. Take your time while you read it. Now, update some of the language and imagery (obviously, you don’t have herds and flocks to be blessed). What are some of the modern ways of today that God wants to bless you?

THURSDAY: Read Romans 8:31-39. Choose 3 – 5 concepts from these verses and make them into declarations. For example: “God is for me!” Use these declarations to frame your perspective today.

FRIDAY: Your mind is where an upgrade begins. When you have the things of God filling your mind, you will always be in the right mindset to receive an upgrade. Read and memorize Colossians 3:2. Use this as a reminder to reject ungodly, negative, destructive thinking.

SATURDAY: Choose a verse or a question from this week that really challenged you. Re-read it multiple times, emphasizing a different word each time. Think about why this verse or question is so challenging. What application do you need to take away?
