Waters Edge is headed to Houston, Texas to help with the Harvey relief! We will be partnering with Send Relief through the North American Mission Board. Send Relief provides all kinds of disaster relief including hot meals, clean water, childcare, laundry, structure repairs, rebuilding and more to communities in crisis. Join us for this trip on Monday, October 16 – Saturday, October 21.
Here are the details you need to know:
Texas has experienced devastating disaster from Hurricane Harvey and is in desperate need of volunteers to help clean up and repair damaged houses. No skills are required to participate, as we will receive instruction at the work sites. Applicants must be 18 years and older.
The cost per person will be around $400 and includes: accommodations, food and beverages in Texas and airfare. Full payment to Waters Edge Church will be due by Wednesday, September 27. Each participant will also need to bring enough money for meals during travel and any extra spending money.
Participants will be selected and notified via email by Friday, September 22. Applicants should be able to self-fund this trip, as fundraisers will not be planned.
