Join your fellow WEC’ers as we head to New York City to help rebuild from the destruction of Hurricane Sandy, in partnership with the North American Mission Board (NAMB) on Monday, June 15 – Saturday, June 20, 2015.
Here are the details you need to know:
While in New York, we will be doing all sorts of work projects ranging from painting and installing insulation to hanging sheetrock and decking. No skills are required to participate as we will receive instruction at the work sites. However, if you do have any construction skills or experience, please let us know as we will put them to use.
The cost per person will be $175 dollars and includes: accommodations, food and beverages in New York and transportation. Full payment to Waters Edge Church will be due by Monday, May 11. Each participant will also need to bring enough money for two meals during travel-one on the way to NY and one on the return trip.
Trip participation is limited to 60 people. Students, ages 14-17, must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. We are no longer accepting applications. Participants will be selected via a lottery system and notified by email. Applicants should be able to self-fund this trip, as fundraisers will not be planned.
