Baptism
Baptism is an outward sign of an inward change. It is a way to publicly announce your commitment to follow Christ and your desire to identify with Him in a unique way.
“So when we were baptized, we were buried with Christ and took part in his death. And just as Christ was raised from death by the wonderful power of the Father, so we can now live a new life.” Romans 6:4

If you're part of our online family we want to celebrate baptism with you too! We will be hosting an Online Baptism. That's right, it doesn't matter where you live, you can get baptized! All you need is a Zoom account, a body of water whether that be a bathtub, swimming pool, or lake and a friend to help. One of our pastors will be guiding you and your friend through the baptism via Zoom. Reach out to our Outreach Director, Eddie Antle, to register: eddie@watersedgechurch.net.

Everything you may need can be provided for you. We give everyone a change of clothes to be baptized in, towels, hygiene products, combs, and a place to change, and more. You can still come and go in your Sunday best!

It depends on your situation:
Baptized as a baby? That was a meaningful step your parents took, but baptism in the Bible follows a personal decision to believe. If your faith is now your own, baptism is your next step.
Baptized but it didn’t mean anything? If it wasn’t connected to a real decision to follow Jesus, it wasn’t truly baptism, it was just getting wet. Now that your faith is real, this is your moment.
Already baptized after believing? You don’t need to be baptized again. Baptism is a one-time step of obedience, not something you repeat every time you mess up.

You don’t have to have everything figured out first, and you don’t need to wait. In the Bible, people didn’t delay or overthink it, “then immediately he and all his household were baptized” (Acts 16:33). Baptism isn’t about perfect timing or perfect circumstances, it’s about taking your next step of obedience. If you’ve decided to follow Jesus, you’re ready.
